The 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee is available in three trims, the Laredo, the TSi, and the Limited. The Limited is now offering 5.9-liter engine with 245 horsepower and 335 lb-ft torque. The 5.9-liter engine offers a quiet and comfortable ride. Grand Cherokee has an extra sound insulation for keeping the noise down. The V8 on the Limited accelerates from 0-60 mph within 7.3 seconds.

 

 The acceleration on long grades is so easy, with 40 mpg on city and 70 mpg on highway. It offers good ride quality, taut control, and not much body roll in fast corners, and very solid and strong braking performance. The Grand Cherokee is one of the most capable on off road because of the suspension that offers plenty of articulation for climbing over rocks. The limitation of the Jeep is that the throttle is sensitive at tip-in, giving difficulty for modulation when creeping through rocky or muddy terrain.
